Supplies:
Greenware plain plate
Slip
Cleaning Tool
Sponge
Soft Glaze Brush
Organic Matter (soft leaves, feathers, etc.)

Relics of the Past
1. Clean greenware.

2. Sponge an area approximately 2" x 2" to moisten the greenware. To this area apply a layer of slip and immediately while it is still wet, press into the slip your choice of organic matter. If you are using leaves, press the back side into the slip to get more detail. You can go back with your slip and slightly cover part of the organic matter. This will give you a bit more recessed area in your design. Continue this process until you have reached an arrangement you are pleased with. You can also do the back side of your plate.

3. Let dry and fire to witness cone 04.

4. Apply 2 coats of SN 353 Ivory Transparent Satin. Fire to witness cone 06.
