Faye Receives Cleo Curtis Award

The 2008 recipient of the prestigious Cleo Curtis Award was Faye Murray.

This extremely talented teacher has been involved in ceramics for many, many years. She is obiously a greatly supportive Duncan teacher but has also designed and taught for several other color companies. She has taught countless students not only in her own area but across the USA at conventions and regionals as well as overseas. But ceramics is not her only interest. She is active in community service and passionate about her family and friends.

One of her main goals within IADCCT was to establish a chapter in her area and thru a lot of hard work and determination has accomplished just that, serving as its President and guiding force. Her students credit her with keeping their interest in ceramics alive and encouraging the futherance of their own continuing education.

Although I have no cold coffee to give her, I am thrilled to be able to announce that the winner of the Cleo Curtis Award for 2008 is one of my very good friends--Faye Murray.
